Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

So many miserable employees on here, so sad

I spent close to two years looking and interviewing before I got out of this company/bank. I am glad I did. To those of you still here, if you think it's time to leave, it was 6 months ago. Dust off your resume, starting applying and take control of your life and career. I did, and I will always despise my experience here forever.

Despite paying billions in fines the last several years, I read last week, through several public articles, where the regulators were not satisfied with the pace of customer remediation efforts and controls work. That's because when you sc--w over so many people over the years with products with UDAAP issues, it's hard to keep track of them all to remediate it, especially going years back. All the while, big wigs in executive roles earned millions in comp and bonuses and walked away with millions! Just before all the sales practices fiasco erupted in 2016, some of those were being allowed to "retire" instead of being escorted out of the building. Outrageous. Then guess who gets the lecture and short end on reducing expenses - the average worker through layoffs and Attrition Through Misery (ATM - since the place loves so many acronyms).

I was even supposed to relocate to a hub (at my expense) then decided it was a d-mb idea because they weren't paying for it and if they wanted me to move elsewhere, the company should pay for it. So I quit and found something fully remote. Was it work and stressful? You betcha it was! My life has been in limbo for over a year because of all the bi-polar relo, RTO, delay RTO, go remote, then no go to a hub, BS! The outrage of it all is that my last two roles - they not me - decided many of us would be remote because it didn't make sense to pay CPG lease costs, but of course they wouldn't give you a remote work agreement. They have no respect for a soul.

I did a lot of interviews. The one thing in common was the worst interviews were those with big corporations - that do NOT give a rip snort about people on any level. The same went for financial services - all those firms were complete a-holes to interview with - rude, don't communicate, just schit-bags to deal with. I got out of financial services altogether and I'm NEVER going back. Shame on our congressional leaders on the banking/FS committees for not having our backs either - they're all corrupt in Congress be it left or right. I ended up going to a smaller org that values talent and people, and who doesn't care where I work or live as long as I do my job, unlike this company. This was my first and last experiment with a large corporation. Never again.

I feel for some of the people being told they have to relocate to hubs in 60 days (w/o any financial support from a billion dollar corporation that got billions in tax cuts with the 2017 tax cut and jobs act) or take severance. Here's my advice - take the severance and then take that paid time off the take a vacation (or two) and find a new job.

This bull about embracing candor is a one way street. They only like candor as long as it comes from top down, not feedback from the bottom up. I gave a few of my managers some good ole candor a few times and they didn't like to hear it. Too bad! That's what happens when managers don't treat people with dignity and respect! Don't like it, too bad! I never cared and never will care, what anyone in a mega corporation, with a well documented history of mistreatment of customers and employees, thinks of me and you shouldn't either!

Next time you get a phone call telling you to move in 60 days to a hub or take severance, don't bend - ask "Hey did our CEO move to HQ or a hub when he got offered $20 million a year job?" The answer is no. I don't work for leaders who don't and won't do themselves what they ask of others. Those aren't leaders, those are chicken-schitts!

We can all agree that the managers are very weak at Wells Fargo. They have every excuse in the book how doing the wrong thing is just policy.

Wells Fargo does not care about their customers or their employees. The care about the money the can they can put in the CEo and shareholders pocket. Nothing more and nothing less. Employees, not team members, are nothing at all to Wells Fargo. It's all about kissing a-s. Charlie's kisses Biden's a-s and he expects his employees to follow suit. End of Story!

For all you TL;DR types, first paragraph last paragraph will get you the point.

OP should learn to write to the target audience.

OP, glad you got all of that off your chest. My big question is, don't you have anything better to do? Get over it and move on. My gosh.

You don't belong in the corporate America.

"I will always despise my experience here forever."
"That's because when you sc--w over so many people over the years"
"worst interviews were those with big corporations"
"financial services - all those firms were complete a-holes"
"They have no respect for a soul."
"That's what happens when managers don't treat people with dignity and respect!"
