Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

This company is a joke

So att gives employees a deadline and if it’s not met they fire you. But att gives us a deadline of 14 days for our request to be processed and they miss the deadline without any explanation or updates. This company is a joke.

This is AT&T in a nutshell. Double standards are present from the smallest to the biggest issues. This shouldn't be a surprise.

@5yzx+1cEVdA6l The email we received when we apply and the JA portal clearly state 14 days.

I read through the docs today it clearly states 2-3 weeks to process the request. I have seen people, multiple times, state it is 2 weeks. Unless that portion of the policy was recently changed folks are not stating the policy correctly.

f you expect to be treated fairly by AT&T, then you are either not paying attention or are over optimistic

@mlh+1cEVdA6l From what someone said on here, they forward it to your supervisor to determine if they can accommodate your request. If you currently can work from home then they should have no grounds to deny it for undue hardship.

Those of you that have been here for a while, and are yet still somewhat surprised by another poorly thought out and executed plan from leadership are amusing to me.

They threw it out there. Poorly thought out. Didn't anticipate the severity of the backlash and the volume of exception requests that would flood them. I for one, am not surprised by anything anymore.

and that's different from any other day how?

@eac+1cEVdA6l Att as their own legal department. We are not running any of this through an outside counsel. This is being handled by AT&T legal and labor.

It’s ridiculous. They have zero accountability to their employees. I for one am not doing anything at work until I receive an answer. We are now 3 weeks in and no response so they get no productivity from me.

Stinky has to run your exception request through a law firm to make sure T has a legal standing to deny your request and terminate you!

The law firm likes to spend a lot of time on these so they have tons of billable hours!

Ch-Ching - for the lawyers, not you!
