One of my managers retired just a few days ago!
People successfully retire from WF literally every day. Not surprising really, when you have 250,000 employees someone is bound to be doing it.
Fun fact: you're more likely to die by falling coconut than you are by shark attack, so stop ki----g all the sharks!
I worked at Wells for 20 years…. I left last year with only $32k in the cash balance plan. It was frozen in 2009. I did manage to save a lot in my 401k. I’m now happily employed at a competitor (making more money and with better retirement benefits!).
Yes, called the Cash Balance plan. It was frozen from additional company contributions in 2009ish, but many longtime employees still have $ in there and it slowly grows based on returns from the bonds the plan invests in.
When the CB was frozen, they quickly announced the profit sharing plan, so it sorta felt like that 'replaced' the CB plan. Then profit sharing went to 0%...
Check out Teamworks. Nobody is going to hunt you down to get you your money. That’s an adult lesson that you should have learned at about 21, 22 or so. Still it’s never too late.

Leave and take your pension as a lump sum. No need to whine. If the 4 years in 7th grade were rough for you, ask a smart friend to help you with the paperwork, and buy them a case of beer or something.
But take your money and ask whoever helps you to give you advise on what to do with it.
Pension? Wait well Fargo offers a pension? Where can I get info on that???
No shark bites here but a lump sum pension payment was received when I retired. Didn't trust Chainsaw not to sc--w with monthly pension payments.
No such things as a “successful retirement from Wells Fargo”, unless maybe you are a senior executive.
No pension. Very expensive healthcare with higher deductibles and higher out-of-pocket levels.

Aren't you intelligent. I know you are waiting for a hand out and it is sad. Very happy my kids grew up knowing that good common sense and strong work ethic can take them far in this world. I did not raise participation trophy kids so I am confident they can make it where I can't say the same for many of you out here.

Lighten up Francis.
After we get past the initial ridiculousness of this comparison. It can quickly be kicked aside by the fact that a significant number of people "successfully retire" from WF every year. You cannot dispute these facts. You may be able to debate the definition of "successful retirement". Soon I will be one of them and I personally know of at least 15 others from my network that are in line for a similar action in the near future.
Social Media is mostly negative as misery loves company. But know there are a high amount of positive people that have great careers here and just don't feel a need to post about it daily like the haters do.
At least with Sharks you know what you are getting versus the "transparency" of our leaders.
I've been with the bank nearly 20 years and am about 15 years to retirement. It was a good place to work then, and a horrible environment to work in now. It's tempting to think the bank will always remain in its current state, but for all we know -- despite of management's efforts, or maybe because of it -- things could drastically improve in the next five to ten years.
PS: I'm not a Wells fangirl in the least, but I try as best I can to live by the adage This too shall pass. Nothing is permanent.
