Many more layoffs coming in coming months remember only 2/3 of layoffs were completed out of 2100. another 700 coming between now and Dec 31.. With packages being downsized as well it wont be a Merry Christmas!!
Has anyone heard how the packages were this round were they 4 weeks per year or the scaled back version
For all the Husky folks that came over, the only thing you can be sure of is more layoffs. We have had layoffs every year since 2012, and we will have more. They are trying to sell more pieces of Cenovus and as that happens they will keep doing layoffs. It is literally the only thing you can count on here.
All of Alex’s talk of culture and values is useless pandering to the naive, unless of course you are talking about a culture of fear (loss of our jobs) and values like corporate greed (CLT making six figure bonuses while we get laid off).
Seriously whatever they come up with you are a dolt if you believe any of it. Come to or stay at CVE to get a pay check, if you’re here for anything more than that you are a simpleton.
Layoffs will be constant and ongoing until Cenovus gets their headcount to under 5000 total employees/contractors Another year of pain never knowing when your department gets hit.. A big hit is coming soon to Operations.. Hopefully everyone saved up for a rainy day!!

Deadweight that should have been eliminated before now.
It looks like lots of integrity and safety people were laid off and also saw that several safety SVPs and VPs got demoted. Sure hope they know what they’re doing and no incidents happen. Because there haven’t been any integrity or safety issues before. I’m sure it will be fine and the company doesn’t need all those people.
