I have received 14 separate emails regarding this survey asking for my participation. Not to mention the additional requests and posts on DXC Workspace areas etc. I am amazed how desperate they are for this survey to be completed, all just to show investors and stock holders that they have an engaged and committed workforce. More decepetion, will it ever end

Received an email from the manager yesterday saying they know there are still outstanding questions from the last survey, but it's really important we complete this one so they now what the priorities are.
They must think we are stupid. The priorities are the same as they have been for the last 4 years worth of surveys, which DXC have ignored so I will not be completing another one.

Participate or do not?

Think about it: the survey links, they sent, are not anonymous links. They know who participated and who did not. They know which department had the most responses, and which has the fewest. They will push either you personally or your manager.

It is not about if they have won or not when you participate.

If they rescue DXC they will get big bonuses, because the "captains" did a great job.
If they ruin DXC, they will get big bonuses, because the "crewmen" failed.

They will win. Always.

Just received the email with the link. Delete. I’m not helping steak cutter 2.0 meet her engagement metric.

I got chased last time. I just lied and said i had done it. Drove them mad trying to find the person in the team that hadnt done it ( all they knew was that 21 out of 22 had completed it). Result is always the same bu-----t score gets promoted, repercussions for putting anything critical and then your asked in your teams to address the issues raised? How do you fix the compamy wide issues from that leverage point? Fxck bagel, mikey, steakcuttetlr2, the second rate exec and the incompetent middle management

All of the leaders get bonuses for a high participation with these.

I suspect SC2 gets hers on the overall figure.

They really, really, really care about "engagement" numbers.

I might feel more inclined to bother if they had published the promised detailed report on the last one and the action plans that came out of it.

Why didn't they publish it? We can only assume that the contents wasn't compatible with the Party Line.

I'm sitting the next one out, lets see how that plays out.

buts its about being engaged not about being happy or unhappy with DXC. If you fill it in it helps meet the engagement metric regardless of what you say. So if only the DXC 'Kool Aid' drinkers complete it then they surely are in a minority so the overall % of completed surveys will never hit their made up Engaged Employee metric. DXC history has taught us that they take no action with the feedback and no real tangible action around making change. Its a tick the box exercise, don't fall for it

I disagree, fill it in and give them the negative scores they deserve.
If you don't fill it in, and only the true believers do, it just skews the results so Mike et al think they are doing a wonderful job.

My business unit were promised a management response to the last survey, but it never appeared. I won't be completing another survey so they can say engagement is high because people respond whilst ignoring what they say.

I agree: do NOT respond to the survey! Your input is ignored anyway and you have been treated like shx.t for years now. If they don’t care, why should you?

I have to agree with the individual who advised not completing the survey at all. By doing so, you are only giving them information to use against you. Before completing the survey, ask yourself what improved for you by responding to past surveys.

Just fill in Extremely poor to every question on the survey - this will a) rile up HR b) your name will be on the next list of forthcoming WFR; doing any more than this or answering truthfully is a waste of time in this company as nothing changes for the better. In fact it's getting worse being in this dive of a company.

I don't work for DXC. I've heard of companies who encourage staff to complete employee surveys, so that they reflect a good proportion of the company, such that any improvements / investments are justified on the majority and not a few outliers.

That suggests to me that DXC must have had a problem with employee engagement on previous surveys. Probably because staff have lost all trust in management and/or faith in the survey process itself. Perhaps because it didn't deliver actions to address the previous detractor comments on the last survey and hence staff feel "what's the point?"

By having HR threaten people, it should in theory encourage worse detractor scores by staff unhappy at being 'forced' to fill in what they believe is a useless survey.

Of course by not filling it in, you are saying nothing. The promoters win and the marketing flywheel starts spinning.

The only thing that is registered is low survey engagement. This will be followed by data analysis of the lowest responding departments and rather than asking why people didn't respond (why do you think?) they will likely just beat up the manager for not encouraging their staff and put a target in his appraisal or some daft equivalent.

On two occasions, HR notified me by saying that I must complete the survey or there will be "repercussions". Can you imagine that? A company forcing an employee to fill in a survey. Didn't we have a no-retaliation policy in this clown company?

No way I'm responding. If you respond, regardless of how critical your responses are they have won. You engaged in the survey thus helping them meet their made up metric around employee engagement and StakeCutter 2.0 gets closer to her next bonus
