Maybe you should put less weight into rumors and false media reporting and pay more attention to the facts. Weak minds are easily manipulated. Unless you are connected at a high level to WF BOD and/or Legal Counsel, then you really do not know. I am and I do.

Do yourself a favor and don’t post another comment until you gain a lot more knowledge
You literally have no idea what you are talking about. See link for one example and stop drinking so much Kool Aid

Y'all can read the report for yourself: https://www08.wellsfargomedia.com/assets/pdf/about/investor-relations/presentations/2017/board-report.pdf
So you have first hand knowledge of people being fired for not committing fraud? Not an intelligent statement as it is simply not true. More negativity without basis. I am not saying the rest of your comment is wrong. People did wrong things and Managers profited. However I will not agree that innocent people were fired. Not here.
At Wells Fargo, people were fired for refusing to commit fraud. Others were fired for reporting fraud internally and externally. Other people committed fraud to keep their job and line the pockets of management and had their lives destroyed while people like Toldstedt and Stumpf never pay any real price. The people who do not care about misconduct are like your neighbor who will watch your house burn down and never call the fire department.
It doesn't. I am a worker who does a job and gets paid a wage. I don't care about others higher or lower as this world is tough enough when you only worry about one person let alone hundreds who are out of your control.
Because I used to love working for this bank. Now I wouldn't recommend it for either employment or banking. I managed to stay employed here through the 2008+ financial crisis; things were difficult then -- in some ways worse than they are even now -- but unlike 2008 the bank's problems now are all of its own creation and I have zero sympathy.
Because THEIR misconduct affects MY WALLET. When they hire buffoon after buffoon from their old companies who then come in an dump all over everything and make us jump around yet get nothing accomplished I get burned out. When they have rules that do not apply to them but us I get frustrated. When out "leader" communicates to us only to lecture on on social issues or when forced it is insulting.
When we are given RTO but there are not even enough DESKS to comply and the reasoning is like a parent telling a five year old 'because I said so' it's ridiculous. Basically they cost me money so that's why
How it's taken depends on what OP means by 'misconduct'. That word could be used to describe anything from not turning in a review on time to punching an employee in the face. How 'personally' I'll take it depends entirely on what 'it' is. In short, we don't have enough information to answer your question OP.
I wouldn’t say I take them personally, more like they offend me. Why? Because I put in honest work and expect to be dealt with honestly in return.
Two things that are in increasingly short supply at WFC.
It affects us immensely, that is why. If it may mean your job, it gets personal, too.
I don’t know if this is a mental hack or not, but I found years ago that if I mentally sing the comments (that I know would upset me otherwise), it totally removes the emotional impact of other people’s negative writing.
When I was contemplating why this might be so effective, I was reminded that satire of old often involved singing to point out other peoples absurdity. When you think about how much the powerful fear humor and satire, there might be something there…
As I get older, the less I identify as my current state and the more I identify with the person who transitions through states. My change in perspective has reduced my anxieties and anger significantly. "This too shall pass" and all that. The more of my self image is focused on superficial things, the more I will take things personally. What we are angry about tends to be a reflection of ourselves more than the current state of affairs.
If I see myself as a busy professional I might be much more aggravated by someone at the grocery store holding up the checkout line with EBT (since I am busy they must be lazy!). If I see myself as a social climber I will always be worrying if people are using me for something (since I am using them!). If I identify with my wealth I might develop some neurosis regarding the sight of the homeless (since they represent ultimate failure!).
I don't believe in reincarnation but it is a helpful thought experiment to think about what benefits and drawbacks your particular incarnation of life holds and how those might be different if you were incarnated elsewhere.
