Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Shameful

I have worked at Sam’s for 32 years ! Met Mr. Sam, who was a wonderful leader who respected our military . I am a proud military mom, but when I was told of our new dress code and USA shirts were no longer allowed because we can no longer wear writing on our shirts so no one is offended… really doesn’t sit well with me ! Mr. Sam is probably rolling in his grave . I don’t care that I can’t wear shirts with sports teams .. etc… but to tell me we can’t wear USA.. especially with all the bad going on is a disgrace . Shame on you Sam’s and Walmart! I could care less if someone is offended by showing our support for our country

Never heard of this rule. I wear all kinds of shirts with writing on them. Also shorts year round. I keep telling the store manager i cant afford long pants and need a raise.

Newsflash: Walmart is in more countries than just the US.

Newsflash: You were hired to represent Walmart, not the USA. USA does not pay you for being a citizen, Walmart pays you to be an employee.

Newsflash: The only thing soft is running to the internet to complain about not showing off your t shirts

That isn’t ‘woke’ and neither is Walmart by any means. But it’s also not heavily enforced at my store yet and I also heard stitching is fine print isnt.

Walmart is FAR from "woke". And stuff like that isn't banned at our club. Graphic tees are or pictures. But not "brands" or something like USA. And if anyone wants to be offended by a USA shirt they can leave. Inclusivity does not come at the expense of patriotism. If your patriotism lies else where, you shouldn't be here.

Just make sure it’s not screen printed…it can be stitched. Most places have actual uniforms and with that you wouldn’t be able to do the same.

IT'S OUR COUNTRY. I have not heard that yet at my club. It will not go over well. Walmart is becoming very "woke".
