Does anyone honestly know what’s in store for Olathe site?

@1ftp+, ITAR parts isn't an obstacle to be taken out from Honeywell and there is a process of handling such parts. Just as long as those parts obtain the necessary approvals to do so, its off-shored. Hold on to your knickers while site upon sites are closed. Its the only American way to bring more dollar notes back to Honeywell minus the value.

I never thought HW closed Co-n Rapids and Golden Valley site in MN but now they both gone. “Never” or “won”t” and “logic” are not in their play book. HW Doesn’t care how much it costs to save

@1ftp: Honeywell already has a history of sending the commercial work offshore and keeping the military ITAR products in the USA. They simply relocate the ITAR work to another US facility. I used to work in Torrance, CA and it happened there and several other southern CA sites that are gone now.

LOL. Let me get this straight...Olathe is closing next quarter, right? I suppose they are sending everything overseas, too? Including the 100's of ITAR part numbers??? Geniuses, man. You're all geniuses...

Site is already planned to be transitioned out for some of the products with a location already identified. Rest of the products will either cease or find new sources externally. Be prepared as this will be coming in Q4 when certain production information will be sent out from the site to those sleazy secret haboring managment team in GS&I.
My heart goes out our guys at the site who don't know any better but beyond their control since we never intended Honeywell to be that money spitting machine that wall street loves.

Hate to hear and see Olathe going way but what other options Olathe site has with legacy products w/o Mfg Eng to support?

So, clearly, the answer to your question is no. But you are going to get these financial business experts that obviously know everything.

There are two options on the table for Cedar Creek and neither are good for you if you desire to tough it out in he-l:

  1. Vaccine mandates will cause enough worker bees to leave causing product-line shutdowns, in turn causing the work to be shipped overseas.
  1. Mad Dog's visit already has that in mind, but for Q1 of 2022.

Prepare to man the lifeboats.

Close it down. Wrecking ball show up. Demolish building in order to get it ready for a Menards. Save big money. Save big money When you work for Honeywell.

The future is yours. Remember this, so we can get our bonuses or get promoted. Then during the holidays or after the holidays. Save big money. Save big money. When we lay you off. The future is yours. Remember this, when you go to your next company.
