Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

It's time to leave

I'm stressed, overworked, I have no work-life balance, I receive no guidance, my manager is an awful human being who thinks yelling solves all problems... I realized there's not one positive thing I can say about my job right now, other than it makes me look forward to each Saturday like it's Christmas (if I'm lucky to get a Saturday off.) This was the push I needed to start looking. Hopefully, I can find something soon.

The valueless clockpuncher will always remain, as nobody else will hire it.

@2pay

Check your math genius. How many free hours do 50 employees have to work per week to get a free employee?

Hint - it’s not “0.4”.

No wonder why people are leaving if they have to work with brainiacs like you.

It is staggering how many people are leaving, the back up to the backups are gone. Any managers/directors all talk delusional saying everything is okay, pretty soon they’ll be lying to an empty room

If you get 50 employees working 0.40 free hours a week then on paper you get 1 free employee.

If you get 20 employees working 2 free hours a week then you get 1 free employee.

If you get 10 employees working 4 free hours a week then you get a free employee.

If you get 4 employees working 10 free hours a week then you get a free employee.

Management would prefer salaried employees work 5-10 additional free billable hours a week on top of vacation, training, sick time etc. This is the fundamental math behind EEI.

They have had employees working between 50-60 hours a week for over a year during the pandemic. These are not paper pushing jobs but highly technical and/or high pressure interactions with upset customers. Not hard to see why they can’t keep people and the word is getting out about how they won’t share record profits with their highest producers.

EEI and mandatory overtime is a way Honeywell lowers its payroll cost. Basically Honeywell wants you to fund their business by working for free. Then of course the company treats its employees like garbage regardless, which is reprehensible.

Honestly, the best/fastest way to get managers, directors, and VP laidoff is if everyone simply refused to work more than 8 hours. Here is a secret from HR, there is no rule or law that mandates that salary employees have to work 40 hours a week.
The only rule is that you only must charge the time you did work. You get the same pay check if you work 38, 40, 42, or 60 hours.

Maybe you should be actively searching for a job instead of following and posting on this page.

What’s BA talking about, what’s wrong with Space? Why would anyone get out of that group?

What you are experiencing here is a never ending and a way of life, creating employees anxiety, depression and worse. This type toxic culture always destroys families and individuals lives, it always leads to addictions, alcohol, dr-gs, mental and physical health problems, mental illness, divorce, spousal abuse, affairs, etc., etc. and always greatly effect your children. PIP and The never ending threat of layoffs are the key management tools to make the numbers, control employee behavior and in still fear and anxiety. You can always be sure layoffs are around the corner or coming with the annual 10% thinning of the herd via PIP and reduction in force cuts as the economy deteriorates. Now is a good time to find a new employer and better job.
