Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Prediction: Honeywell pulling the trigger on mandatory vaccination for employment

You should see an email from corporate in 5 – 10 days. The wording on the email is delicate due to legal implications - possibly there will be some wiggle room but they will be demanding 100% compliance.

I was denied employment by Honeywell due to me not being vaccinated.

Seems risky. If one unvaccinated highpot is retained, just one, lawsuit he-l would be unleashed. On second thought, given the groupthink/shill culture, no highpot would ever refuse the jab.

GE Halts, Honeywell Keeps Vaccine Policy After High Court Ruling

We now know that the vaccine does not prevent infection or transmission, therefore the mandate is POINTLESS. Countries with the highest percentage of the population vaccinated also have the highest infection rate. The shot doesn't work. It isn't safe, and early treatment does work, so there's no need. Management this uninformed practically guarantees that the Honeywell stockholders will be betrayed just like the employees.

Why don't any employees who are forced to take the shot stand up for their rights and freedom? After the mandate, everyone will know who have the shot and who did not have the shot. (medical history?)

More will come and would people would accepted the shot to continue to accept / obey the rules?

What has happened to America, the land of the free? or is it the land of some of the free?

Is anyone else considering not getting the vaccine and forcing Honeywell to make a decision? I think it will end in termination unless a significant group decides to do this.

Vaccine Mandates -- General Counsel Anne Madden said the company legally can require that employees get inoculated but then would have to enforce the rule. Firing violators would create additional problems. Vaccination rates vary from 80% at some locations to less than 30% elsewhere. “If that population were to be in a mass-spreader event, it could take down the facility,” she said. “We’re going full-court press on campaigning, proselytizing, cajoling, correcting on the science.” From the overlord himself.

@cvue+1c9va2BS , sorry, but OSHA will not enforce 29 CFR 1904’s recording requirements to require any employers to record worker side effects from COVID-19 vaccination through May 2022. Look it up. https://www.osha.gov/

This question was asked in the Aero Quarterly update. The response was non-committal. They prefer to not mandate, but nothing is off the table.

Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines will not require employees to get vaccine

Perhaps Honeywell will also not require employees to get vaccine

If Honeywell forces someone to get vaccinated and they die from complications, will their life insurance refuse to pay because they participated in an experimental dr-g program? Also, where is the clinical trail that shows the vaccine is good/needed for people with natural immunity. Asking for a friend.

@3jps: We're going to find out the consequences in several months.

"Banner Health, the largest private employer in the state of Arizona with roughly 52,000 employees is mandating the COVID-19 vaccine. The deadline for all Banner Health employees to get their COVID-19 shots with limited exceptions is Nov. 1."

It will be interesting to see the magnitude of unintended consequences that might result across all industries that mandate vaccination as a condition of employment. Will we see large number of retirements, the failing of small businesses, or a worsening in the nursing shortage or other medical specialties?

@2kzi+1c9va2BS: Not so sure that the anti-vax stuff is gone. What about:

"Vaccine manufacturers have no liability if you get injured you cannot sue. Vaccine liability act 1986. Would you buy a car without any liability?"

How about:

"It would be disastrous to say the least. Most of our top performers will quit instead of being forced to take an unproven experimental vaccine."

Then there's this, which I suppose could be sarcasm:

"I work in Clearwater, the building mold and chemicals will probably ki-l me before Covid. I ain’t gettin no shot. This is Murica!"

Just sayin'.

Here is what mods remove:

  • off-topics
  • troll and spam posts
  • personal insults

That’s why provax vs. antvax conversations get nuked, cause they are not only full of insults, but also contribute nothing to the topic - which is the probability of vaccine mandate.

@2hee: Your comment "Odd that, in the middle of a raging pandemic, they would favor the clueless anti-vaxxers" is not true.
If you read the posts that remain below yours you will see that the anti-vax posts were all removed by TheLayoff site moderators. They've been consistent with this policy. Most reputable social media websites are also following the same protocol.

@epo+1c9va2BS: You can claim your religious or medical exemption from getting vaccinated. Good luck with that. HON is very mindful of medical cost risks. How expensive is it to spend 1 week, 2 weeks, or more in an ICU? Staggering expense. You think this company will want to risk that on a vaccine refuser? Think about it.

The EEOC and DOJ can issue all the opinions they want. They are law enforcement adminstrations. They have no power of legislation or administrative law powers granted by congress. That power resides with the Federal and State legislatures. The EEOC and DOJ have no power in the interpretation of law. That power is solely reserved by the Judicial Branch of the Federal, State, and Municipal governments.

If this rumor is true, then it means that HW would lose 20 - 30% of its US workforce at a time when they can't even find enough workers to staff the Titanic as it is.

Microsoft will require employees to be vaccinated against the coronavirus in order to enter its U.S. offices, starting in September. The software company will also seek proof of vaccination for vendors and guests visiting any of its facilities and campus.

The U.S. government agencies and other technology companies said they will require vaccinations for workers, as the delta variant of the virus becomes more common in the country.

At-will means that an employer can terminate an employee at any time for any reason, except an illegal one, or for no reason without incurring legal liability. ... For example, a contract may provide for a specific term of employment or allow termination for cause only

Honeywell has you here. If you don't comply, then fine a job who doesn't have this policy.

All fifty states and D. C. have this policy. If wrong, then I stand corrected.

The United Auto Workers and Detroit automakers are reinstating a nationwide mask mandate at all facilities in response to the rapidly spreading Delta variant of the coronavirus. The new mask mandate will go into effect Wednesday for all plants, offices and warehouses, regardless of vaccination status. General Motors, Ford Motor and Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler) said in a jo--t statement with the union that the move is in response to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) change in Covid guidance for masks for fully vaccinated people. The new mask mandate will go into effect Wednesday for all plants, offices and warehouses, regardless of vaccination status. It comes more than a month after the companies and union made face masks optional for employees who were fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Employers can require workers to get a COVID-19 Vaccination and wear mask even if they are vaccinated. The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has said employees could be barred from the workplace if they refuse the vaccine or wear mask. In addition, the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ) stated in a July 6 opinion that the FDCA doesn't bar public or private entities from imposing vaccination and mask requirements, even when the only vaccines available are those authorized under emergency use. Both federal EEOC and DOJ law supersedes all state and local laws as it relates to requiring vaccinations and wearing of mask. Private companies and government agencies can require their employees to get vaccinated and wear mask as a condition of employment and working there.

There will be a big push once the emergency-use label is prematurely removed. Fortunately, critical thinking states are moving to prevent this fascist tyranny along with lawsuits heading to the SCOTUS.
