People seem to be preoccupied with RTO, WFH, vaccines, masks, the Delta variant, and here I am only thinking about the next round of layoffs and what I'll do if my name is on the list. Did I miss a memo in which it was announced that layoffs are on hold for the foreseeable future?

You need to sear that off right away and become numb and emotionless like those pictures of people in the great depression.
I'm not afraid. I'll volunteer and be rejected again.
No, but furloughs are coming, cheaper way to get people to leave. Once they are gone, you replace them with cheaper recent grads. It’s the Honeywell way!! Heard Maddog put that on the table as a way to make the numbers in Q3/Q4, they don’t care about you!
The market is so hot right now that if you can fog a mirror you can land a job… I get between 6-10 recruiter calls everyday.
We don’t worry about layoffs. We pray for them. Sign me up.
If your name is on the list, you'll do what the rest of us did, suck it up and deal. No point in worrying about it before it happens.
It is always open season on older employees when it comes to layoffs.
Moneyhell has raised age discrimination to an art form.
Their motto? "hair gray, go away".
Covid is the main reason companies have used to justify RIFs and reductions in wages. The powers that be will "never let a serious crisis go to waste" and that is why this site censors them.
You are not alone, we are all, always concerned about being terminated at any moment. The fear anxiety and depression is never ending.
Layoffs at Honeywell are never ending and a way of life, creating employees anxiety and depression. Toxic cultures always destroy families and individuals lives, leading to all types of various addictions, alcohol, dr-gs, mental health problems, divorce, affairs, etc., etc. and greatly effect our children. Layoffs are the key management tool to make the numbers, control and in still fear. You can be sure layoffs are coming with the annual 10% thinning of the herd via PIP and cuts, business mis-management and as the economy deteriorates.
A word of advice. Layoffs are NEVER on hold here at Hudsucker Indu...er Honeywell. Act as if... It is the longstanding tradition of Management to always keep'em guessing as to whether to lay you off or cut your raise. They think it keeps you on your toes! Find a new job!
