Going back to Allstate?

Hey everyone, former Allstate employee here, I was assessed last summer and RIF'd in November 2020. Curious to know if anyone similar to my situation has tried reapplying to Allstate? What was your experience in going back to work for them?

Allstate is desperate for auto adjusters on the East coast. Buyer beware, Allstate is a bait and switch company. Proceed with caution unless you're re-applying for grins and giggles.

Would consider returning if they let the field adjusters back out again. They would also need to pull the damage evaluators off our backs and let us do a complete and thorough job on the estimating side. Making us do a half-a$$ job and purposely cheat policyholders and clmts was not something I was able to reconcile with my conscience. The early mantra was always to not overpay as well as not underpay. Corporate greed took over and has destroyed us all and this company.

Agreed. So much opportunity out there now. Do yourself a favor and look around! This is the bottom of the barrel at the moment!!!
As a former front line employee I literally feel like is a disservice not to encourage my employees not to leave knowing that they would be valued so much more elsewhere!!!

We all got rehired back in the same "eliminated" position for the same money 6 months later most got to keep all their severance. The difference now is none of us care and just do what we feel like doing for that deposit every two weeks. Our manager who was also hired back doesn't care either. Is most areas this was all a rouse to make the 2020 books look artificially better. Some areas it was to prepare for the upcoming move to India. This company is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Keep buying all those small companies to make your market share look better! We are all laughing at you and taking your money at the same time.

No. I wouldn’t go back even if they offered to pay more (they won’t).
