There were posts every other day for years about Mondelez exiting DSD. People used to swear it was true, it was happening this month or the next month or this week or tomorrow... Yet here we are, DSD is still here, and the only thing gone are those who kept spamming about it going away. What happened, folks?

Pulse is sometimes glitchy, there was a note sent out about fixing the pulse issue but not sure if that ever happened. Customer care is always an option if you feel like sitting on hold for 2 hours.
Bypass Pulse and just have customer care do it.
Walmart no longer really works on the pulse, every time I go to cancel or adjust it fails. Sometimes customer care emails back and fixes it but usually I'm screwed. 85 cases of family oreos into Walmart. Guess its going to sit there or get refused.
All the other stores seem to work fine on the pulse. Just Walmart fails on everything because they are cutting us off.
Cheerleader you remind me of the guys playing the music on the titanic we all know how that ended , dsd is dead cheerleader.
did pulse app - delete EDI & NOS
write your own
and just like that , any attempt at a serious conversation disappears! one reason why lots of people dont see these comments as having any merit!
oh its coming...
Are you saying your EDI orders are not locked?
Mine are.
How would you suggest I adjust a locked order?
You dont need customer care to adjust walmart edi orders...
Agree. If any changes they are always announced in q1 and implemented in q2
The Walmart EDI order has been locked and "no touch" for quite sometime now, even though reps find ways to adjust it anyways.
So it sounds like you are saying there will be absolutely no adjustment through customer care, etc?
so...where does this information come from? it would seem to be more reliable if you could elaborate, and you should be able to do that without incriminating yourself
No more layoffs until April 2022
More optimization changes at that time
my old group was the "test" for the no touch wal mart and it went on a good 6 weeks im sure. are you saying that now the company is going completely no touch?
Sales reps are definitely on the chopping block!
I don't look for anymore layoffs until April 2022.
It's a slow and painful process! 😥
you wont being hearing essential worker bandied about as much anymore and soon it wont be used. every worker is essential...lol ..and that term was mostly psychological warfare coupled with a few extra dollars to keep us out in the field and encourage us.
CFO Luca just said last wednesday that we are still facing head winds with labor costs. My guess is hes talking about you essential workers and not the front office.
Oh it’s coming, got the email for south east region going no touch on Walmart orders yesterday. Starts 8/9. Edi is working guys. Trust the process.
I 100% agree sales rep elimination for sure, then possibly the dismantling of DSD altogether, but maybe not.
Definitely gonna get rid of sales reps, so obvious!
Lol. It's not that complicated folks. If Mondelez wants DSD to disappear it will. Until then it continues.
there are many things that have to be done on a daily basis to maintain accurate inventories in a store and the way things are ran now , there are few people able to keep up. i meet managers on a daily basis who dont understand how their own systems work, and to this day i cant find walmart "managers" who have no idea what drives their orders. inventories are lost at the registers in more ways than one, and the average walmart manager wont correct on hands unless it "makes me money"
sales reps cant fix that so long range we have to train our customers to become used to the mess i guess...lol
when that bubble bursts, direct store delivery will mean daily store service, or at least for awhile.
Couldn't agree more. It's a process. There is a reason we dont give up on EDI, CAO even though everyone knows that it is not close to working. I'm convinced the long range plan is elimination of reps. Possibly not DSD. We will know the plan when that day comes.
if you go back and look , most of the people i think youre talking about have been saying that its work in progress. this hasnt changed. it may be a gradual progress but none the less its on going and the proof is all around you if youre looking. ive been in the grocery business over40 years and ive seen it before, and know the signs; the most obvious and telling of them being the shrinking of the workforce followed closely by the on going switch to a cao/edi/whatever you call it ordering system that doesnt require a "salesman" to make it work. d stores are a significant step in that direction, otherwise we would have put effort into making them better and not writing them off as a waste of effort. its business pure and simple and it doesnt matter if any of us believe it, its coming. my personal thoughts are not relevant although im sure that its coming and we will see.
ive been gone a few weeks now and i still get a call several tines a month from people in various chain stores asking me if i know why they dont see anyone, and its not just from b stores
