Our advantage is gone

Cenovus will still have employees after the majority of people leave. They just won’t have good people.
You can hire anyone if you pay them enough.
As a result, our peers in the space will always outpace this company. Our advantage is gone.

This was perfectly put. Cenovus doesn't have a problem with attrition, it has a brain-drain problem. Attrition can be fixed by hiring more people, but if you can't hire the right people, brain drain is not fixable. Which means we are screwed in the future.

I can’t agree with you completely on this topic as I believe the smartest people are still here. I would bet that a smart person would not give up years of experience and quit when they know if they hang in they will be paid to leave.

Honestly who cares how the company does , nobody's staying here because they enjoy it , just scale back what your doing give your job the same effort management does for theirs and you'll probably get a golden handshake
