I'm not jealous at all, but it really bothers me that a person who is promoted rarely deserves it with their work. For some people who get a promotion, most wonder how they got the promotion at all, because these are people who have never been hard workers. It's sad what's going on at Sam's.

Maybe you are not that good
You can not "rise through the ranks " here if you hold dearly to the truth or demand to be your own self. I have been at sams 20 plus years. I have never been a team leader because they only promote people who go along with treating people bad or at least will not go against management in any real way. you do not need to be a good worker or have leadership skills. but you do need to worship the ground the managers walk on. you need to be willing to do any ridiculous thing you are told. you need to be willing to harass workers for simple things like telling the truth. I am none of those things. My work or work ethics have never been in question. But I have been in trouble multiple times for telling the truth and confronting lies. A few decent folks have been promoted sure , but most step down because they can no longer bow down.

The member specialists who got the FT jobs, are such losers. They call out constantly. They are lazy but the mgr. wants minions to work under her. Such a joke. To the original poster: Don't let this get you down. Rise above all of these id--ts.
You should take it upon yourself to rise through the ranks yourself so you can implement the change you want to see.
