Wall Street journal is doubling down about how many people are quitting for different jobs.
Seems like staying at any job has huge downsides right now.
You would miss out on the salary bump which is significant based on this reporting.

I see no way for honeywell to avoid this churn of people. Salaries will not go up to keep pace with inflation at 5 or 6 percent this year and for the next few years. Double digit salary growth is needed just to stay flat.

FOMO sets in.

@1ufq -- agree it is also true that baby boomers are leaving.

The wsj topic was specifically profiling people moving to different work. This data is poorly captured in the bls.gov labor statistics and would ride on top of the early retirements going on today when discussing impacts to honeywell.

@OP -- get off your a__ and listen to your gut. FOMO is correct, you will miss the opportunity by staying put.

@1saw: They don't have to fly them in. If you've been working from home the job can be done anywhere. At least that's the current attitude in leadership.

They will be glad to see you all leave. You will be replaced by loads of Indians they will fly in to do the job at 60% pay rate.

Third wave of COVID is just kicking up in uk despite vaccines. We will see how long normal ops lasts. Governments love a crisis.
