I am starting to hear from trusted colleagues that have MR75 they are notifying our manager that they are leaving this year.
What say you regarding the common points:
- Take the lump - do not give Stinky the chance to f*ck you over anymore.
- Do not take any vacation this year - make the company pay you for unused vacation at the end.
- Do not expect ANY pro-rated bonus next year if you retire. T only pays partial bonuses if you are wacked.
- The consensus is to retire in October, so that our lousy incompetent HR can sc--w up your retirement paperwork and fix it in time to get the lump sum before Jan when the rates will change and your lump will go down. The IRS rates are trending up!
- In order to collect the lump in December, you cannot receive any paychecks from T, including vacation payoff time unused. So make sure you retire early enough in advance so there incompetent HR can get all payments out to you by the end of November.
- Retire in the middle of the month, not the beginning or the end of the month. Your employee medical continues for the entire calendar month giving our incompetent HR a chance to setup your retiree healthcare. If you retire at the beginning or end of the month, there is no continuation and if they mess up your retiree healthcare, and you have a giant healthcare bill from the stress, you are screwed as you are not covered.
Is any of the above false?
