I could not get our ASN to work at all last week. Is there a glitch?
I don't think the people that created ASN have ever used it. Candy, books, magazines...complete disaster...
U scan the small upc with the smart system (test scan) and enter the upc number on ASN.
ASN never works for magazines because it does not recognize the smaller upc’s. So you need to receive those the old way. It works well with candy
Books are broken because they need to go back to one title in a box. It's illogical to mix the books they way they do.
We have has ASN for magazines for about the last 2 months and has worked pretty well, same with books. We too are getting hammered with pallets of books that show up around noon 12:30 and of course the PM people won’t do them(along with claims).
Sounds like the new ASN is going to be fun lol.
To the person that said key it in the other way. When the new ASN rolls out the other way is no longer an option when you type in the PO number it comes up as ASN. It no longer comes up like it would with bread vendors or milk or eggs.
It makes u audit every box because someone keyed something wrong. You have to audit without messing up for 6 or 9 weeks till it goes back to normal. If u get a box that the count is off don’t ASN it. Key it in the other way and it won’t make u audit for 6 to 9 weeks.
ASN has not worked for books since January. Makes us audit every single box. Ridiculous, what is the point? And we are getting hammered every week with books coming in 2-3 pallets, they come in late and take over an hour with 2 or 3 of us to check in. It is a completely broken app. McLane has major issues too. It’s just cr-p and needs fixed asap. A company this big needs to be leading the industry in technology and time and time again it is a major fail.
It’s already been tested in 2 markets. It’s cr-p.
What is ASN?
Lord help us all - we know how well this transition will work.
I'm still waiting for the ASN to work for magazines after 5 years... (Hint - never going to hsppen).
