Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

WarnerMedia Severance

The active rumor is that WarnerMedia severance policies are going to be changed to align with AT&T policy, which is much less generous (2 weeks/yr 6 month cap). Anyone have information on this?

Just in time for $3b in efficiency savings with Discovery, huh?

I’m someone else and couldn’t give a rats A if you get laid off. It’s a just a job dude. You should have no problem getting another one if you’re so hot. If you’re that good they won’t lay you off.

No @1dja+1bgMCP4U, you should feel sorry for me if I involuntarily get told to leave a company that I have worked for more than 15 years for. A company where i have had a great track record of growth and success. A company that grew, was exceptionally profitable, and employed smart people who were industry leadership that was destroyed by AT&T in about 3 hours....

Are we suppose to feel for you because you might be getting less to leave the company? Sheesh.

It figures, T's leadership mentality in their race to the bottom. They just keep taking the crumbs away, in the end we starve while they enjoy their mansions.

I don't have insights to WM's severance, but cleaning the books is common practice before M&A's or spinoffs. Watch your back, you may find yourself in a different section of the ledger before the end.
