Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

How many people did not accept the VTO offer?

Some are already talking about possible dismissals in August, and even those who did not receive the VTO offer are at risk as well. I have no doubt about the latter. I wonder if anyone has any idea or knows more about how many people did not accept the VTO? Any thoughts?

More of the d-mbasses should have. Fools. Like they really had a choice. Considerin the VTO offer was not much better than standard severance those who thought they were irreplaceable are about to feel the wrath of Glenn the Butcher and they might not be walking away with much.

Learn from their mistakes. If you're offered VTO take it. There is no better writing on the wall that you are gone anyways in short order.

Over 50% if band E and up in my SCO accepted the severance package. I believe the company will start looking at Admin Assistants and Para Legals next. There will be more use of work groups in the US (cheaper wage states) and overseas to initiate documents, schedule and bundle documents. The new claims virtual legal document exchange is designed for this. You will see this shortly down the road.

Nobody at my sco took it. So, we are likely screwed.

In my group only one attorney took it who is close to retirement anyway. I know 7 were offered. 14% acceptance, and they were looking for closer to 55% acceptance so layoffs will most definitely ensue in August.

In my immediate department, approximately 20% of those who were offered the plan accepted it. I believe this is much lower acceptance rate than what was expected.
