Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Really, people?

So many posts here talking and complaining about raises or lack thereof. So many people are currently without a job and your biggest problem is whether you'll get a raise or not? How about being thankful that you're not in the shoes of those who can't afford to feed their children right now? I know this will be downvoted into oblivion but I don't care. Enough is enough.

Thankful. What a crock. You be grateful. You be thankful. This is a job, that is all. I don't need to be thankful that I'm trading work for money. All I need to do is show up, do my job and then go home to my real life. I'm not grateful, I'm not loyal. I'm not thankful. If another job comes along that pays more, I'm gone.

Why are you without a job? You must be one of the bidenettes that are collecting the extra 600 per month by claiming to be afraid of the China virus. Get a job. There are thousands out there if you actually want to work and move out of mom and dad's house.

I am one of those double xx yearers that has seen it all at Walmart Inc.

For starters even if a new hire gets in at a higher rate due to the fact that starting rates have been changed. Current associates get the bump to the new rate.

Pay is always going to change and scales will never be the same. Getting on the intranet and search through the business manuals particular payroll and learn the in's and out's.

Side note when I converted to team lead the club had also hired an external to fill another lead spot who's starting pay was higher than my pay due to the fact the new hire was able to get job credits that increased their starting pay.

Another lead complained about how unfair that was and that all new leads should start at the base rate and earn the increases. Ironically the complaining lead was one of them associates who liked to job hop and had in under 5 years was making more than associates with more years invested in the company. And was making $2 more then the external hire. But fate or karma or whatever you would like to call it caught up to the complaining lead. The complaining lead got caught stealing time and alot of overtime from the company and was terminated.

You ever think maybe the people are complaining about pay raises because they worked for Sam's say 5-10 years or however long, but now bring In a new hire with no knowledge of retail or any job experience but get started off at more than people who actually know how to do the job. I'm guessing you didn't think of that? Or maybe the fact that the associates are doing probably 3-4 times more work because people don't wanna work because of the unemployment benefits right now? Or the fact Sam's is turning into a horrible place to work for anymore. Think before you speak.

I'll add that a lot of people (not all) complaining about not getting a raise should probably get a pay decrease. It seems that those who complain the most do the least.
