Local Sam's Club is looking for frozen food stockers. How soon do health benefits kick in for full time new hires? Is working at Sam's worth it?

Come in & work like gangbusters. If you do, you'll probably outshine most of the whiners here. they cry about having to do anything more stringent than updating their facebook page. if you aren't afraid to work hard, you'll be fine. Scared to hustle, break a sweat, & maybe go home tired---- keep moving on.
Extensive retail experience means nothing here. It's not like you're out on the floor selling merchandise. You will do what they call "for needs of the business". Could be standing at the doors checking membership cards or could be pushing carts or anything they need done. Do yourself a huge favor and don't waste your time and experience.
Heck no do yourself a positive and go somewhere else.
No
This place has gotten worse every year. Theres a top 200 business group that discuss how they’ll approach business in the coming years. Target, Costco, and all the others said their approach will be towards employees are first then customers because happy employees will take care of their customers. Walmart was the only one to snub the approach. Why they have the worst employee satisfaction out of them all. Every year it gets worse. They got rid of HR a few years ago and that was the biggest turning point. Do not come to Sams!
30 years ago, it was worth it. All Sam's are different. Sounds like some might even be decent...but not ones I've worked in. Good luck! Since Walton heirs took over it is going down hill at a rapid pace! Also way too much favortism!
Run away fast!
Working at Sam's is absolutely worth it. Compassionate family oriented managers and employee friendly policies to protect you first and foremost. Flexible scheduling and and all around fun environment.
You should join ASAP!
I think Sam’s is a pretty decent place.
Base pay for freezer is $15/hr, but with previous retail experience you would likely starter higher than that. And health care benefits would be available after 90 days assuming you are in a full time position.
