Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honeywell might have a problem with those green lanyards.

From the EEOC website:

  1. Is information about an employee’s COVID-19 vaccination confidential medical information under the ADA? (5/28/21)

Yes. The ADA requires an employer to maintain the confidentiality of employee medical information, such as documentation or other confirmation of COVID-19 vaccination. This ADA confidentiality requirement applies regardless of where the employee gets the vaccination. Although the EEO laws themselves do not prevent employers from requiring employees to bring in documentation or other confirmation of vaccination, this information, like all medical information, must be kept confidential and stored separately from the employee’s personnel files under the ADA. https://www.eeoc.gov/wysk/what-you-should-know-about-covid-19-and-ada-rehabilitation-act-and-other-eeo-laws

So to spin the positive on this issue... So Trump = Operation Warp Speed = Vaccine = Vaccination = Green Badge cover. So all them green badge covers are outright open Trump Support!!!

All this is going to do is create a “class” type warfare in the workforce. Exactly like what is happening in the country. Try to separate people by race, wealth, se-ual orientation etc. This is NOT a good thing they are doing at all. Like I told my manager, just keep everyone away from me and let me park my fat a-s in my cubicle and if you want to talk to me, do it on TEAMS. I refuse to go to ANY conference room meetings.

A known fraudulent "vaccine" that does nothing to prevent anything, and causes damage to more peoples' lives and health than all properly approved vaccines in the last 50 years combined. Hydroxychloroquine was and is the answer; a thoroughly proven dr-g that is almost 100% safe and effective, and cheap. That's the whole reason against; it's safe, effective, and cheap.

@1dbd, just as you won't have anyone else tell you what to do, how about extending the same courtesy to people like @gcb, who has his reasons for what he has chosen to do.

All the rancor expressed here is not going to change one person's mind at this point. How about everybody just do what you're going to do and leave everybody else alone about what they choose to do?

With the green lanyard system up and running now, everything appears to be working very well. I have a green lanyard myself but prefer to keep wearing my mask - just to be extra cautious. Truthfully, we should all be grateful to Honeywell Health & Safety Management for adopting this measured approach to keep everyone safe. Remember, we’re all in this together! I fully anticipate that that non-vaccinated people will have to wear masks for the remainder of their careers at Honeywell.

@1jvr You nailed it! It's funny to read HR trolls and leader$h!t twisting off over comments made on layoff.com. I can imagine them running to the company lawyers and moaning over what's legal and what's not. Makes my day!

This is all wasted air. Honeywell knows the mask thing is over. Why else would they have fired the 1000 people and shut those plants down?
By the time they finish talking the rest of world will be back to work

Actually Honeywell did disclose our medical information to third parties who sent me mail indicating my personal info was disclosed. I called and asked for the permission forms and there was an apology and the following year they asked for permission. I never threatened any action as it wasn’t necessary.. they knew.

It really @zux to be so easily triggered into foaming at the mouth over a lanyard exchange.

Is blowing typeface at each other really going to solve this divergence of views?

This is like saying rolling around in a wheelchair is publicly displaying your medical information.
Also, IT IS YOUR CHOICE WHETHER YOU CHOOSE TO GET A GREEN LANYARD AND DISPLAY IT OR NOT! You are NOT REQUIRED to wear a colored lanyard if you are vaccinated. If you wear a clear lanyard, or no lanyard at all, no one can determine if you are vaccinated or not. None of this is illegal, and they pay 100's of millions of dollars to legal PROFESSIONALS to determine the legality of all of their decisions before following through with them. I don't know how many way this needs to be explained to you. Do we need to get out the Big Chief paper and crayons to try to spell it out for you????

@feo: Sheeple with no spine when it comes to tyranny due to the color of a lanyard? Get a clue. It's a just piece of cloth. I don't even wear a lanyard and my badge clips to my shirt collar with the spring clip.

I have a wife with a great job, three kids, a mortgage on my home, car payments, etc. and the list goes on from that. I'm not going to be a crusader and risk my job about a lanyard when my primary responsibilities are to help support my family along with my wife. Let's pick and choose battles on issues that make sense. Again, it's just a lanyard and move on.

The illegal part is the requirement to publicly display green lanyard if you choose not to wear a mask after vaccination. This is displaying personal medical information for all to see. It has nothing to do with being pro or anti vax

It's not the color of the lanyard, it's the invasion of privacy and authoritarianism that is despicable. If you lose more people, you'll only get more work to do. If you want to be a sheeple with no spine when it comes to tyranny, that's up to you. Let me know how that works out for you.

Is there an expectation that the green lanyard needs to be worn if masks are removed? I don't see that in any mail, nor do I see it being worn in offices

you don't HAVE to get a green lanyard. you can keep wearing a mask, it's your choice regardless of vaccination or not.

Possible good news on the mandatory emergency-use-only jab mandates (RIF) -- upwards of 83% of employers now say that they won't try to force it due to legal ramifications.

If anyone has info on any lawsuits going forward, please let us know! We can't allow discrimination and medical tyranny go forward unchecked in the name of pseudo-science.

We are finding out this week, with the release of the director of NIAID's emails, just how far they will go in their "the end justifies the means" tyranny. America is on the threshold of why the Nuremberg Code of Medical Ethics was established after WWII.

: @ndg+1baIo1h2. Good point on BMI not public but not 100% correct as isn't the company seeing them so they can fine us so they are part of the public? So saying this nothing is private anymore

by

Post ID: @voi+1baIo1h2

@kgz+1baIo1h2 They don't disclose the BMI information publicly. With the green lanyard they are publicly disclosing the medical information that you voluntarily gave them. I would guess the legality of that would be dependent on what the Honeywell said they would do with the information when you volunteered it to them. I don't know what the form said because I did not volunteer that I got vaccinated as soon as my age group opened up.

Always assume that volunteered information will leak and only disclose what you are required to or wouldn't mind seeing posted on a public website.

@xlr+1baIo1h2. So divide us more at our jobs. Why don't they just have a club who drinks the $300 plus bottle of wine to the Aldi brand wine. This just sad how unequal this is getting.

@baz: I appreciate those employees that take a stand against something so minor as the color of a lanyard. It simply annoys your manager and puts a target on you at the next employee review for a PIP and keeps it off of me. That PIP will pretty much eliminate a raise next year. Let us know how it works out for you.

I’m fighting this. I appreciate the extra ammo. I just want everyone’s health to be their own responsibility and private. Get the shot if want. Just stop punishing me because I don’t want it since I already the coof. Gots that natural immunity :)
