Go ahead and strike. No one will notice and it will save a few dollars. Possibly, productivity may go up.

CWA will never strike more than a day or two. They can't touch their lucrative interest earning strike fund. Remember, we paid for it. The union cares about you only because you pay dues. Contact your district prez and see if they ever get back to you. The union, since the mid 90's only wants to self perpetuate. They care no more about you than the company does.

The roar of the CWA members, right? Ain't ever gonna happen...ever.

I have always wondered why they kept so many people they didn't need. This has been going on for a very long time, people just sitting around collecting a lot of pay.

True, the Union is powerless and will cave like a house of cards when the time comes!

Good luck with striking. There won't be much experienced management left come end of year. At least 20% attrition in ranks of management folks with 20 years of experience and more.

How funny. You do realize the union has no power and a strike is a waste of your time.

SW still under contract till 2025... the Parties agree to extend the 2017 SW Labor Agreements. The term of this Extension Agreement will begin April 11, 2021 through 11:59 p.m. CST on April 12, 2025.

The union and company have very close relationship, and any strike would be coordinated between the two with set strike time, usually a couple three days. Any wants by the company will be agreed to by Union top's. In today's workforce nobody is prepared for any lengthy time without pay.

I don’t know if we will strike, but it certainly looks like many of at (SBC, Ameritech, Bellsouth, Legacy T and Pac Bell) will be working without a new contract when they start expiring next year. I can’t imagine a single union employee is going to vote to ratify the bs they forced on Management this year (losing a week’s vacation, loss of retirement benefits, etc.) if/when the company tries to force it on us. I would be perfectly fine working under the old contract indefinitely before giving in to Stanky’s demands, and I’m betting the majority of craft employees feel the same way.

I doubt the Union will strike as the Union chiefs are gutless and in the pockets of the Stinky.

But I think with possibly 14,000 management people leaving before the end of the year, the Stinky will have the use the droves of management vice-presidents left to do the work as they will be the only one staying.

And one other point. The Union has not be hit as hard by the Stinky as the management ranks with benefit cuts as the contract is the only thing protecting the crafts folks from the Megalomaniac Stinky.

Strike all you want. All it does is show management how easy your job is and how overpaid you are.

Since we apparently have so many people holding down chairs in the office everyday because of no work, would it be better to have fewer employees so healthcare costs could be more affordable for the company?

We get paid pretty good to mostly sit around in the office most of the time

Let Stankey go right ahead with his hard nose position and see how much further T will have to play catch up with T-Mobile and Verizon. T is is already lagging behind and certainly can’t afford any more furlongs. Sure, it’ll always have some market share, but the egomaniacs can no longer boast about being number one and that hurts! Playing third fiddle is outright disastrous! Who woulda thunk T would have ever ended up in third place...gotta laugh!

Are you asking Legacy T people to strike or is this directed at the soon to be free DirecTV people?

If the latter, who do we strike against - a private equity holding company just waiting for a reason to turn us into 1099 contractors?

If so, go ahead and make their day - do you feel lucky punk? Well, do you?

A strike is imminent in April when some CWA contracts expire in the west and southwest because you know T will cut health benefits like it has with management. Also, with all this inflation we've been dealing with, 2.5% raises just don't cut it anymore! Save your money and get ready cuz a strike is almost certain...been too long.
