How is it that I’ve always been a great employee, the manager was always happy with my work, and now suddenly I get a lot of complaints? Suddenly they treat me like I have become someone else. I am very subtly informed that I should leave Allstate. Very ugly way to treat your employees, Allstate!

Wait, are you saying you've had the same manager for a long enough time that you can detect patterns of behavior?
Are you sure you work at Allstate?
My great granddaddy used to tell me, "you always whip the mule that pulls the hardest". I've come to learn that statement is incredibly accurate.
How old are you? It happens with age.
It often happens when the manager is in over his/her head. Blame the great employee. They don’t blame the mediocre employee; everyone already knows that employee really doesn’t have an effect. But the incapable manager subtly changes his/her treatment of the great employee, whom he/she sees as a threat.
