Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Why are team leads so arrogant and rude?

I don’t know of any of them who aren’t extremely rude to associates. I have friends in other stores who also notice that these are very arrogant people. I'm just wondering, what gives them the right to behave like that and why do they behave like that? On the other hand, when one visits one of the job listing websites, judging by the reviews one would think that working as a team lead in Sam's is the worst of all jobs.

To many team leads get positions from kissing managers behind , most don't work and don't know anything and could care less of helping the associates under them.

Sams (and walmart) have gotten to be the cluster f's of the world! Seems to be only a select group of people shop at either one. I never worked at a walmart but anytime when I used to shop there, i heard on the overhead "I need this or I need that" and that alone, sickened me. I have given my notice at Sams after 27 years and just know there are better jobs out there! ...And they don't have the disgusting teamleads lurking around every corner or being deceitful in selling the lousy plus memberships or lousy credit. Have faith in yourselves and know that you do NOT have to deal with those places!

posted in another thread but fitting here: no overtime ? we are the only club in central ohio and we have overtime a lot on evening stock crew. our team lead thinks we are getting out on time if we stock till 11:30 and then begin to clean.. shelf is full? heck no you can get one more box on there. he does not just micro manage he micro micro manages.. he knows the best way to do everything and if you very from his method in the slightest his blood boils and his write up fingers begin to itch...i could go on and on but I am sure this type of person is working at every club....

there is a phenomenon where a person gets promoted and believes they deserved to be or else the would not have been. The truth for the last 10 years or so is that few who deserve to be promoted actually are but rather the ones who are suck ups or simply a warm willing body readily find themselves in a team lead position , completely undeserving and incapable.

corrected: Some Team Leads are far from being leaders. They are small minded and in some cases not very smart. I have seen so much in the 11 plus years I have been at Sam's. It used to be so different. Respect for the individual is dead and gone. We have one Team Lead who caused one of our associates to collapse and had to be transported to the hospital. What will it take for home office to realize that people are being treated like cr-p? Does someone have to die? And on top of that, they denied his claim of harassment and being singled out continually by the mo--n of a team lead. We told him to go get a lawyer...Always document, document, include date, time and any witnesses.

In my 26 years with this cesspool of a company, I have seen and experienced my share of
GM's and assistant managers who meet the same criteria . Need I say more ?
