Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Click & pull associates

I work in freezer cooler on the morning shift and I'm working hard to get items filled back up and then comes the personal shopper associates grabbing 10 gallons of milk and 15 boxes of my yellow eggs and they don't care how they leave it smhhhhhhh.

Talk to the lead. If he or she is worth anything, he or she will get it and talk to the team. We keep produce boxes in our area on the top shelves to be able to box when we get back from picking. Sh---y picking shouldn’t be swept under the rug. Check them. Just remember, we’re just doing our job and picking for the member. Whether it’s us or a member, it’s going to get jacked at some point. Learn to work as a team instead of bi-----g.

In our club we have the rare and hard to come by personal shopper. I’ve seen this 1 go in the cooler and grab from within. I’ve seen this person take empty boxes and pull items forward. This 1 person will ask you if you need help. There pick is probably low because of them helping but I feel this person has been on the other end at one time in there life. The RARE breed is what we all should be to have a wonderful work environment.

Back in the day we would just leave some pallets down so restock and if CPU needed to fill a large order it was ready to go.

But now with no overnight crew this is a no no since it gets in the way.

Grabbing from inside the coolers and freezers isn't a bad idea at all.

Instead of going back and forth with the personal shoppers, why not suggest it to the leads and managers? Everyone is just trying to do their jobs. No need to make it an "us vs you" type of thing.

I kind of wish there was a way for order pickers and personal shoppers to take inventory without removing the zoned displays so as to keep it straight, organized and sanitary. One part of the problem is that order pickers remove products from the middle or bottom of columns instead of picking from the top. It ruins the organized appearance of the shelves and it magnifies rotation problems as that older product is left unsold. Another part of the problem is that order pickers steal cartons and boxes often dumping the remaining products into the displays. It ruins the organized appearance of products and may injure products i.e. bruising a fruit. The personal shoppers can be the worst because the employee has to complete tasks in a certain amount of time. When they can't find it we get extra questions and spend extra efforts in handling a complaint. Our current 'only defense' is to keep layouts current and to check the stock levels often. Empty boxes aren't kept anywhere but up front for members or in the cardboard bail. -Ever cull without a box available at all?

How about taking from inside the cooler instead of inside the cooler door...where the real shoppers shop?
