Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Pushing people out the door?

Do you also think that Mondelez is trying to push you out the door and in what ways? It was unbelievable to me at first, I thought I was exaggerating, but I am increasingly convinced that Mondelez actually wants to get rid of people without giving them layoffs. If it were otherwise, I guess at least some of my close colleagues who left would have been replaced. I have been experiencing increasing pressure here lately.

i figure if us long term guys get a package its a decent chuck of change....i think mine would have been extra 12 weeks....easier and cheaper to pay out. the new hires if it comes to that.

no..i didnt try and thats on me...stupid as i am i admit i fell for the whole "its gonna be easier on you now because youll have less stores" line! i didnt want to quit, and i hated doing it but im 65 and after a month or so i saw id made a fool of myself! one of my peers asked for the package and was told no because "we still have a job for you" and the only person on the team with an offer of a package had less than two years service. i should have asked and made them tell me no but i got paid and i still had enough time to have gotten a small pension. ive got a lot of time in the grocery business in general and this job started out as a dream job for me,,,,but dreams never last do they?

Curious if you were old enough to retire, did you try to get the package earlier in year?

ive been out two months now and i feel like i was shown the door in a somewhat polite manner....i just gave up because i was too busy working orders to try to "sell" and the fact i was working 55 hours a week plus didnt raise an eyebrow. i was old enough to retire so i did...and more than anything else i sleep now .....funny thing is i miss what we had and i didnt really want to go. i just felt like my health was at stake

Quarterly report is next week so answers to your questions are near. I'm backstage clearing my throat now.

Yes, I'm constantly getting my service pulled and they are making me do the work instead. They say we are short staffed but merchandisers are telling me they want more hours?? I'm working over 50 hours a week as a sales rep and I'd say 95 percent of that is just stocking shelves.

Regardless of what is going on. This company has a HUGE moral issue.
