Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

Since Michel is such a fan of numbers...

He makes $15,434,255 annually.

"MetLife, Inc. disclosed its CEO pay was
205 times its median employee's pay for the fiscal year ending in 2020."

That's an increase from 190:1 in 2019. But hey, keep telling us how you can't afford raises and AVIP after working our as--s off in 2020.

the way they like to do it: give him a 2% raise on base and a huge bump in stock; turn around and waste a couple billion dollars on stock buybacks for M and the rest of the EG. I bet you our non-existent raise that's how it will happen.

How much more do you think he'd going to make this year while they tell us they can't afford raises indexed to inflation?

Hey Michele - how about some PAY EQUITY?! Goldman 30% increase to low level invest bankers. How about the same for all under paid at ML? That would really be WINNING.

To be "fair" (lol) it is "only" $5.5M in cash, the rest is stock and "other"

$1.1M salary and $4.25M bonus. That 1.1M vs 4.25M ratio seems a little off compared to the rest of our bonuses, no?

Talk about equity, ech?

  1. 5% I can barely afford to cover the basics.

And…it really gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling when seeing how much $ they give to charitable organizations - when I’m trying to figure out how to pay my outstanding dental bill $2k+ because the company’s “benefit” is sh$t.

MetLifes faceless working poor.

Free lunches until 2022 - WOW! This must be their direct employee charitable giving. WOW again.

My Next Horizon - an employer that recognizes and rewards my contributions and hard work.
