Boosted from the floor. All the tools and fiber optics were boosted from the staging area. 3 employees were assaulted in the break room. HR's response, it never happened and no they weren't. ATT and its strategy, leadership, and internal social justice is beyond comical. Its like working somewhere where running is required but management denies you running shoes, water, tosses marbles at your feet, and lets the hungry pit bulls loose.

Really? Copier, toners, print cartridges, fiber??? Did they take reams of paper, too? And 3 people were ‘assaulted’?? Sounds like this was a gang of people…and you say they roughed up employees in an ATT facility?! And the poor affected employees called HR and not the cops!?!

The way the OP described it, most likely Asset Protection never knew about it. Somebody reported it to HR after it happened. HR's first call was to local management, not police, not Asset Protection. Local management wanted to cover it up and said no, this did not happen. HR has no real power and can only advise management. Therefore, the incident was covered up. Probably, the perpetrator was someone favored and protected by management. Furthermore, the person who reported it to HR probably is now experiencing overt retaliation or other adverse treatment.
I have actually seen this happen. That is why I said, call 911, not HR.

My advice from personal experience: When this type of incident happens, absolutely DO NOT call HR. Call 911 while it is happening.
