Lets face it , T is not an enjoyable place to work . My concern is that if you cut employees with less service during layoffs . ..........what happens when the older employees retire in a few years and nobody knows anything .

the dues are like 1-2%. While I earn like 20% more than non-union roles ... Why are these trolls so bad at math?
I back your unpopular opinion regarding WF 2020 and also would add it was an opportunity to shift the hiring to a younger generation. Both ways helped eliminate pension obligations.
I can't for the life of me understand why people would pay good money to that union. At least you could save that for later.
Because when you retire, you have little to no retirement benifits as a "Manager".
im happy every day making 30% more than I did at other companies... clock in/out and collect checks, guys
Unpopular opinion is that Workforce 2020 was a plan to make the employees more valuable so they could be sold off to other companies. This let AT&T reduce technical debt and jettison its pension obligations without a fight.
Life is too short to not be happy. Just move on.
What do you mean T is NOT an enjoyable place to work?
This place is a dream come true for a megalomaniac like the Stinky. He has corporate jets to shelp him from mansion to mansion. He has a whole floor in his building for himself to sit in his chair and drool. He receives $9M for buying high and another $9m bonus for selling the same thing low. He gets to make tens or thousands of people totally miserable. He and his wife get to eat fancy meals on his Corp Credit Card on T's dime with his good buddy Ratty and Whitacre's daughter.
Where else could a J E R K like Stinky be paid so much to S C R E W up so much and not have to worry about ever being fired?
Already happening in the COs. Bunch of young guys have already been hired to fill the retired shoes in COs and have no clue. No fault of their own. Downtime is up , customer satisfaction is down because no one knows anything about the “antiquated” equipment that’s still servicing customers! SMH. This company is mo--nic.

They’ll give em a video and then say they’re trained. See Ya, going back to AC.
They do CP for every contract. It's not a threat, it's a fact.
The union was probably at its peak in the 1980s. Structural changes are eroding their power over time.
CWA's incompetent mismanagement hasn't helped matters either.
The world's graveyards are filled with indispensable men.
And the World is filled with corporations that tried and failed, and should have known better.
I can't wait until the next Union contract where the company will threaten to have CP 2024 workforce, just waiting to bust the Union. Just like the last 50 years... Only this time the CP workforce will be in India. Woobling, Woobling. Do the needfull...
