Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Some people want out at any cost

A former coworker now works as a manager at a warehouse. He was so tired of Allstate that he was willing to accept a job that came with a drastic pay cut just to get out. I don't like this place either, but I don't think such drastic change is the right solution. To each their own, I guess.

Interesting how you manage to get posts that in no way violate the rules deleted. Exactly what you want, an echo chamber

The manipulation psychologically has been too much for adjusters. Claims is meant to help people and the terrible volumes that have been dumped on them has caused a meltdown. There is no way an adjuster can do all this work in even 12 hours a day. This is part of Allstate’s plan. Wear them down wear them out. They will leave. Saves on the severance and unemployment they will have to pay come 2023 when they finally lay off more after Nat Gen gets their assessments. Ridiculous place. Out in December y’all. Couldn’t be happier ! Get out the popcorn and watch the sh-t show for the next 5 months. Gonna get uglier

Dear @xzy+1bDoGTPj, you appear more judgmental than OP, chill and enjoy the holiday weekend.

I’m about to quit too! Just one phone call after another from angry customers weighs ok you after a 12 hour day 6 days a week . Working weekends to keep up with double the volume they’re throwing at us is wearing on a lot of us mentally ! Allstate laid off too many adjusters .

I’ve learned a toxic environment ki--s and the need to get away from that outweighs what may otherwise appear to be a logical choice to someone else. (This is true for all life circumstances, including personal.)

He did what was best for him. Just because you don't think it was best, who are you to judge? If you prefer to stay until you find a better paying job then good for you buy there are some areas with some managers that is intolerable that working at Chick Fil A is better. Sometimes mental health means more than a paycheck. Good for your coworker.
