this is what happens when you get a company of so called leaders. no one wants to do the work except for bossing other people around.

How about outsourcing CEO and SVP jobs to Microsoft, they can't possible do any worst.

They pay whatever T wants them to pay for the IP. Call it x. Then they bill x back to T in the form of Azure costs.

One VP shows they grew the business by generating x new revenue off of IP. They're a management genius! Time for a bonus and promo to SVP

Another VP shows they dropped headcount by hundreds of employees, bonus and promo for you too!

Another VP lays off data center and IT techs, they're not needed after the outsource. Bonus and promo for you too!

Microsoft kicks back goodies anf golf invites to the SVPs for being such trusted partners. Life as an SVP is tough.

Very odd ... all across our org (Under Legg) we are being pushed towards self migration to azure bc its costing to much to have Microsoft involved in the Migrations.

Internal cloud projects hit massive cost overruns, let’s pay Microsoft to do it and save money that way. Absolutely genius move. Just like diverting DTV and WM to pay down debt. Initiate disasters and then claim success for disaster recovery, this Jedi mind track can’t be taught, most impressive indeed.

This is the next logical step in the strategy to convert AT&T into a company that only sells technology services, with nothing unique developed in its own. At least all the Chiefs of Staff can keep their jobs, building the PowerPoint decks that keep the company running!

I see rehashing in our engineers future!

If my team's Azure migration is a representation of things to come, it will be another disaster in the making. This company's so call leaders can't manage its own people and certainly can't manage vendors.

Microsoft will repackage IP and sell services for a profit, they are in a win-win situation. AT&T is nothing but a system integrator, more layoffs coming, no need to people working on new tech.

History repeats itself. Microsoft took IBM to the cleaners years ago.... Now it looks like they will do the same to AT&T! The only winners here on the AT&T side will be the few hundred engineers that get jobs at Microsoft. The rest of the AT&T will be jealous of them.
