According to HR, the compressed and decreased pay bands, loss of earned PTO days for 20+ tenure, loss of our traditional video discounts, and vague “connection” incentives awards structure is not affecting attrition but is, in fact, why people are staying! Who knew people appreciate less and less? Wow! The new D&I app also has them clamoring for the doors to get in!

My strong SME is retiring next month.
One way or another, I'm still getting my 5 lost days off. Cough, cough.
With the latest round of new job title changes and salary ranges a lot of 20 plus folks are getting it handed to them yet again. Other folks with less yrs of svc or whom did not perform well through the years so their salaries were lower are getting another free ride and bump in salary range along with newbies....Unless of course you are friends and family they will find a special title for you and a better salary range...My B.S. barometer maxed out again today...Time for a drinky winky
The 'data used was compromised...' Really? Whenever the results don't match the desired outcome, that does not mean the 'data' was somehow compromised. The 'real numbers' have come out....you just don't like what 'the data' concluded. This type of spin is being used in every part of society today.....if you don't like the outcome.
20+ yr folks know how to get their time back!
They don’t work on vacation anymore and they are actually clocking out!
I’ve not received 1 email after hours from the vets since they lost 5 vacation hours! Coincidence?
The data that was used to report on the stats was compromised; wait until the real numbers get out! Moral indicators are way down as well. Internally- people are predicting the great exit and also planing how to “off-set” that exit and spin it.
Maybe PTO isn’t an issue for many because they/we WFH. And maybe people could care less about video discounts (!!!) because really streaming services fill the bill. And maybe people are increasing their 401k contributions because the economy is moving along nicely. And perhaps because the job market is looking the best it’s been in many years, that now many have options to stay or leave. Maybe that is why we don’t care about the small stuff…..
Sounds like more of Santones logic. Remember, if her lips are moving she's lying.
Quit your bellyaching.
HR has no worries! For every US based employee that leaves this year, they can hire 10 in Mumbai. Which can all sit around, assigning any work they have no concept on how to do in a round-robbin cluster-f*ck.
The ones that bitched about the benefits on the surveys are all gone now. The ones that kept their mouth shut got to stay. Therefore hr is kind of right in a back handed way of thinking
It is not now...but I along with others are leaving in Q4 and not looking back. Of course HR knows this and acts clueless when asking about procedures for leaving. So glad that the time is near.
I would agree it is not effecting attrition yet, most senior people are smart enough to milk the cow thru the fall before heading out to pasture, lets see the attrition of really strong SME folks that we will need as we focus again on Telecom leave in 4Q
