Doubtful that layoffs will be coming except for office closures

The domestic workforce reduction strategy is likely the "back to the office" edict, but they will likely lose those who they can least afford to.

Consolidate sites, move work to EM, contract manufacturing = fewer US Hon badge employees. The goal still remains - pay less for labor. This has priority over anything else. Second, reduce inventory.

The next RIF has everything to do with labor rates.
Fifty percent of existing domestic labor must transfer to EM to meet published labor rate targets.
COVID is blocking for now but any easing will see this come back in force.

The biggest "domestic workforce reduction strategy" will be around another 20% when HW decides it can survive the legal hit from implementing a mandatory experimental vaccine policy. The green badges & prize giveaways are just the carrot & stick to get there...
