People get old fast here

Can you compare yourself when you first started working here and now? I have been working here for a little over two years. Chronic stress and excessive exertion have severely impaired my health. First I got spine problems, and now I have learned that stress has negatively affected my thyroid as well. In just two years, I feel like I’ve become 10 years older. Of course, I gave notice.

I dont know about getting old fast. 31 years for me. You worked here 2 years? Whoopie Doo ! I do not listen to whiners who have been here less than 5 years. Even then it is tough to watch those young tears knowing how little they have put in compared to true long timers . Has my body suffered after all the time I have been here ? Yes. That would have happened no matter where I worked. Are there problems here ? Yes , many many problems but hard work is not one. Hard work is hard work where ever you work. The real problems here are not physical , they are people problems. The first responsibility of being human is to treat other humans like they are human.

I'm 63, have worked at Walmart 27 years and I have to laugh at the aches and pains stories I hear from the younger associates. Bunch of know it all little crybabies is what I see now, weak bodies and weak minds. They're from the you participated so here's your award generation.

you were probably in pi-s poor shape when you started. it's not the job.
it's your inability to briskly walk 1/4 of a mile without sucking wind, or zone up the water aisle without stopping to rest 3 or 4 times.
put down the cell phone, turn off netflix, & get outside once in awhile. it's a given your health will improve.
