Let's just say for a moment that HR actually cared about the employees (yeah, I know, ridiculous). What could they do to improve morale when it's the c-suite that's the cause of the problem?
Mismanagement, arrogance, epic failure after epic failure, mass layoffs, eviscerated benefits, microscopic raises, constant pointless 'town halls' that only serve to salve upper management ego, no clear vision for the business, quarterly reorgs, and constant lies are the root of low morale. All of these are entirely because of Stink and his gang of nitwits. Other than firing the entire top three levels of T executives, stripping them of all retirement benefits, and forcing them to repay their obscene salaries, what can HR do to counteract the problems?
The sad truth is when a company's executives are so institutionally riddled with this level of hubris and contempt of workers, the dissatisfaction metastasizes throughout the employee base until the condition is not only terminal, but resistant to palliative care.
Asking HR to help is like asking Santy for a pony.
