It's happening, was just laid off with my whole team, our branch will be closing in the summer.
The branch I went to for services (Notary, etc) closed 3/10/21 then teller and platform went to various branches...now, they are being let go in the branches they were sent to. One has been with the bank 32 years and is really good....seriously sucks!
Not all operations displacement lacks a working portion of the notice period...so you very well may hear of it.
The interal operational grouos have been the ones getting hit lately and due to the way this is being done with the immediate shut out and go home policy, you wont hear it anywhere but here
It's always quiet when it's 'someone else'.
They're closing about 10–20 branches a month. I wouldn't call that quiet.
