This job (I assume) pays your bills and puts food on your table. So why is there always such an uproar and downvoting (which I assume this post will receive as well) whenever there is a sliver of good news about AT&T? I don't like this leadership any more than any of you do, but I was overjoyed to hear things might be looking up all around. It's just common sense to me...

Negative comments when our stock is gaining are from employees who are such losers they don't even know they're winning.
I think others have also said it well. But good news never ripples down to something that affects my job security or my salary. Only those at the top when we see quarterly statements. That's why I'm cynical of news like this.
Profit doesn't stop layoffs in this company. If anything sometimes it accelerates them. Now they have a bigger bar to meet next quarter.
The sliver of good news is a low bar to achieve , when compared to the year Randall started preaching to us that we needed to keep ourselves relevant ! That was 2009 , and our future was so bright that only the smartest and best would get to continue with the company !!! Haha !! Randall , now Stankey have absolutely F’d us up !!! No bright future ! Losing the yard we have been in for 50 years ! Good job A – holes !!!
Cause t is known for turning anything good into cr–p
More cook the books please. To pay the workers, to pay the investors, to pay the pension. Yum.
Cook the books. Something you say when you are clueless.
How do you know if T isn't cooking the books...did you ever hear of Enron? They painted a rosey company picture and look what happened!
Still paying workers. Still paying investors. Way to go Stankey!
Still 169 Billion in debt. The good quarter did not put a dent in that! All the benefits stolen did not put a dent in that! All the Woke Training and speeches – Did not put a dent in that!
Poor leadership put us $169 Billion in debt.
It will take more good quarters than any of us will be on earth to change that.
Good news, bad news, makes zero difference to me as long as the direct deposit in there every other Friday.
With the correct amount of OT and per diem.
Company metrics/policy are way above my pay grade and they really don't care what you or I think.
I care as much as they do....which means I simply don't
I can be better at insincerity than they can.
And I've proved it for 31 years.
Keep caring...you're like the fly bashing on the screen door.
Stankey know more about everything than anyone. Take it to the bank.
Because it’s like the boy who cried wolf. It’s hard to believe good news any more because it never pans out.
You make a good point. However I have been through so much cr–p over the years that I struggle to root for the company at all. As long as it remains a viable business and I keep my job I am satisfied. Beyond that I don't care. That said I am a little excited to see the att stock fund portion of my 401k getting closer to even so I can sell it without losing money.
Because some people need others to do badly to feel better about themselves. They are always bringing other people down.
Because Stinky is justusing smoke and mirrors to fabricate the news to make himself look good.
Remember, he is a megalomaniac...
