Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

Horrible management culture

Managers where I work always feel threatened by High performers, don’t know why most people who work hard are sincere and are not trying to take anyone’s place I can’t imagine what the management culture is really like behind the scene to foster such hostility. It must be cut throat to be a manager at Barnes and Noble.

Management is in survival mode, some of these people need this place and would do anything to hold onto their position a little while longer.

Because they’d never make it in another properly run company!

Every single person I talk to from our store has horrendous things to say about our Regional Manager.
She's only nice to people who know her very dirty and nasty history. Seems like having s–x with store managers is a thing with this company and a way to get ahead– no pun intended. And I think certain people got promoted after having s–x with TBTB. This is only one of the many nasty things that have happened here.

You should read what they're saying on Facebook and the Retail Life page. Everyone if ripping B&N mgt apart on social media now. They can't afford to retaliate. Haha
