Did anyone hear that manual QA jobs will disappear in May ?

I can’t wait until it all comes crashing down due to these stupid decisions. Problem is, the decision makers will be gone by then screwing up another company like they did at Chase.
@2dky+1avDNNwI. Fired? Or laid off? I am not sure you can fire someone for not upskilling to a new position that you weren’t hired to originally.
Reliable sources have indicated that any QA Analyst that has not yet 'up skilled' and whose title has not been changed to Software Engineer will be fired by end of 2021.

I have heard that Manual QA testers must upskill and become automation experts. Leading Java/Selenium/dotNet. So, yes, Manual Testers are expected to learn programming language in order to keep a job. I have not heard about the May deadline though.
They still have lot to figure out before they can get rid of manual QA. It will happen but I don’t see it happening in May.
This is mentioned once a week. Does anyone really care besides what ever a QA thing is?
Manual tests are discouraged. All tests should be automated.
