Times have and are still definitely changing at T. Politics were very seldom discussed and as long as you did good work you were noticed and on the path to promotion. Those days are now long gone. These days you need to keep being seen, selling yourself and flashing your accomplishments to any and all who would listen. In my opinion things are more cut–throat than they were a 5–10 years ago, and forget accountability. Mistakes are now blamed on anyone other than the person who made them. Man, how things have changed.

Spoken like a true "not my fault" kinda guy.
Yeah, we used to have a Director View, AVP View, VP View before SVP View. It was an incredible amount of work for so many people. I don’t even want to elaborate on the kind of changes that would have to be made and how many people were on all the calls. Incredible.
yep and one of the reasons I left 3 years ago on my own. place was just disgusting and vile.
I was allotted 5 minutes to present at a senior executive meeting. The content is very straight forward, yet, I’m getting a ton of “help” from an army of people and 2 rounds of meeting reviews before the actual meeting.
This isn’t a million dollar Super Bowl ad, even my team mates are totally disgusted with the level of “production” involved. I’m sure this is common practice, ingrained time waste in the name of operating efficiency.
T wants all chiefs and no Indians. They don’t care if you can produce work just be able to present a PowerPoint deck. And frequently.
Doing work is not rewarded.
Disgruntled.
True.
Did you make a mistake and not want to take the blame? So you attack the man? Nice if you can get away with it.
