Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

FInTech Takeover

Top 5 Tech companies that might merge with Wells Fargo IMO

  1. Microsoft. CS is on their board. Perhaps a double agent. Microsoft can afford to spent around 10 % of their Market Cap and a good way to grow their business even further. New Name: MicroBank
  1. FaceBook. Mark Z is very interested to get in the Banking world. Libra will replace the US dollar as the world currency. New name: FaceBank
  1. Amazon. They bought WholeFoods. Jeff B is no longer the CEO but he is still in charge. And would be very interested in taking over the big bank. New Name: AmazeBank
  1. Apple. They already have a credit Card. Working on a Apple car now. Purchasing Wells will only be around 5 percent hit to their Market Cap. New Name: iBank
  1. CoinBase. This pick is a dark horse. But I think that in a few years CoinBase will grow in Market Cap to around 500 Bill when they will be able to afford to do M/A with a legit big bank.

Anyone who wants to get into banking has never spent more than 10 minutes talking to someone who works on the regulatory side of the business ––– brutal.

there are not FinTech's. A finTech does work for banks, like maintain processess/systems, so one may steal all the tech services and manage for wells.

Berkshire Hathoway has tons of companies along with a FinTech, perhaps that is more reasonable assumption than the top tech companies wanting an obsolete bank

In order to laugh, one must be presented with something funny. Try harder next time.

MERGER = TONS OF LAYOFFS. Very bad idea. Top executives at acquired company are first to "go bye bye" too.

Okay first of no. Do you have any idea how much regulation and laws a financial companies have to follow. Warren Buffet never owned more than 10% of Wells Fargo because he would then have to follow financial regulations. No big tech will ever get involved in the world of Finance because the amount of hoops you have to jump through.

Soooo, traditional brick–and–mortar bank + technology company = FinTech? I don’t think so.

You Big Dummy! Microsoft does not have a national bank charter. Not any company can just merge or acquire a national bank. Go away! Speculative Horse s––t.

I don't dismiss any of those scenarios out of hand, but I also don't think that regulators would ever allow any of those acquisitions to occur.
