Don't you get that feeling from working at Wells? I haven't heard anyone higher up mention anything...

Loans are assets on a banks balance sheet. Our revenue numbers are indeed compromised by not being able to lend to grow.
$1.95T assets – WF does not need to grow to make money, that is such a smokescreen.
I’d gladly lift your asset cap Tuesday for $25 million today
FRB doesn't care if we have 50,000 employees or 5,000,000.
It will get lifted when most of the jobs are eliminated.
Training... oh those are the videos i watch and click ‘Next >’ through as fast as i can until i get to the test section? From there i take screenshots of how i answered each question so when i take the retest a couple more times i’ll eventually get 80%? Sorry, for some reason i don’t remember the training you mention.
They can't provide specifics because it's restricted regulatory information. We get in trouble for leaking it.
I thought the mandatory training that explained this was bank–wide?
It will get lifted at some point. There's a lot of PR going on, and the higher ups are often asked about the cap in media and respond. They surely have some idea when it might be lifted, but it's bad PR to provide any specifics. All they can do is say "it'll be lifted when we've done our jobs on compliance". Anything else builds expectations for something that might not happen during the predicted time frame.
