They bribe the ATT management ranks and push their billable resources as much as they can. Most of them are H1B junk who cannot even speak a correct line of English nor write a line of code

It's competition. Anyway to reduce costs. Nothing more. You're relationship with T is based upon that. And as technology improves (reduces) the need for personnel, it will continue.
Have you ever worked with Amdocs on a delivery?. Very disappointing. Nice folks but never on-time, always way way over budget and code always has issues. They fly in a Team once a month to review reqts from all over the states, Israel etc . before Covid anyway

CSO (Brian Rexroad) Org is full of Amdocs people. They just outnumber the employees and suffocate, suppress and silence the employees !!! Its a shame that contractors are allowed to work on the key security related projects.
It's good ol' boys club, deals done over golf, etc. The rest of us needs to deal with idiotic systems which are not user friendly or customer friendly. Oh yea, we need to move fast and be more competitive. These venders are in the business enriching themselves, they will weight us down and keep billing for years to come.
You do know AT&T holds 10% ownership in AMDOC's. Have since late 90's. They built the old billing system used in landline business for the last 30 years.

Mr. de la Vega also held various positions at several telecommunications companies, including Cingular Wireless and Bell South la–n America. During his time at Cingular Wireless, he was responsible for the integration of AT&T Wireless and Cingular Wireless. He also serves on the boards of American Express Company and New York Life Insurance Company. He also serves on the Executive Committee and is Chairman of the 2017 Jamboree for the Boy Scouts of America. He is the former Chairman of Junior Achievement Worldwide and continues to serve on its board of directors.

James S. Kahan has been a director of Amdocs since 1998. From 1983 until his 2007 retirement, he worked at SBC Communications Inc., which is now AT&T, and served as a Senior Executive Vice President from 1992 until 2007. AT&T is our most significant customer. Prior to joining AT&T, Mr. Kahan held various positions at several telecommunications companies, including Western Electric, Bell Laboratories, South Central Bell and AT&T Corp. Mr. Kahan also serves on the board of directors of Live Nation Entertainment, Inc., a publicly-traded live music and ticketing entity, as well as two private companies.
Some contractors are bad and some do the needful. Its not the H1Bs that are the issue. Its really the offshore folks taking the majority of the jobs now. And no need to disparage them personally because they are just trying to support themselves like you and me. Its the management at T who is to blame and who should be disparaged. They only care about costs and are penny wise and pound foolish. It is definitely frustrating and I have over the years been given two 60 day notices and luckily have been able to find another position. If it happens again I think I am done.
