Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Why management does nothing

to slightly improve the atmosphere among employees?
Someone here gave a really good comparison, working at Sam’s is like going back to high school. I don't understand why management allows negative patterns of behavior such as gossiping, backstabbing, taking credit for someone else's work, and even bullying. They seem to close their eyes to all problems related to negative atmosphere.

Why don't all you whiners who hold the club back and bi–h about management all the time step up and become a manager. Show us how it's done, you seem to know it all. Lead us into the future of a perfect company.

Of the examples you gave, the only thing management needs to concern themselves with is bullying. But gossip, backstabbing or taking credit... Those are elementary complaints. Handle it yourself or ignore it. Cause really, who cares?? Don't give them things to gossip about. It's work, how is anyone back stabbing you if you don't let them. And standup and take credit for what you do. If you don't speak for yourself, why should someone else??? Those are petty things managers shouldn't have to bother dealing with. Act your age and let it roll off, or stand up for yourself in a professional way. That's it. Adults should not have to be coddled. Bullying however is different depending on the situation. Again, you need to professionally stand up for yourself. If it is bad or where you feel you can't safely stand up for yourself, report it to your team lead or manager because harassment, or threats are a different story. There is also always Ethics hotline if you aren't getting appropriate help, then they will investigate so even a lazy manager will have to report back to them.

People are people it’s nothing you all haven’t experienced it does not require a title to behave in a manner that is ugly. It’s simply who that person is, last time I checked NOBODY can control anyone besides themselves. You are a grown adult if you can’t figure out how to handle uncomfortable situations than you should leave retire and sit inside your house. Every place of business suffers from exactly what you said, the key is how can YOU CHANGE !!! Learn that sooner than later or it will be a tuff road for you, I know from personal experience.

High school? I think you give us too much credit. Kindergarten is a better comparison.
