Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I can like my job and complain about it

I don't understand this "either stop complaining or leave" attitude. Apparently, I can only complain if I hate my job. I'm sorry, folks, but that's–thow it works. I can enjoy my work most of the time (which I do) and still complain about the parts that I don't like and that I believe should change. I want to improve my position, not leave it behind. I don't understand why so many have so much trouble understanding this.

You could say the exact same thing about people that downvote someone for saying that they are having a good day or that generally "sneer" at everyone that isn't in lock-step with their perspective. Yeah yeah, we're all here to read up on a generally negative subject, but that doesn't mean that we have to be intolerant of other people's differing views.

Anybody who comes to a Layoff site to sneer at posters who are being “negative” must be really desperate for ways to feel like they’re better than other people.

To all the mosquitos who live for the red downticks:

The creators of TheLay-off.com did not create this site for employees to do the happy dance over their employers who are cutting jobs. If you don’t like the content, no one is forcing you to come out here.

Maybe you could start your own website, something like Yes-Man.com or IOnlyCareAboutMyself.com

This will probably come as a shock to you, but maturity has nothing to do with age. My parents raised my brothers and I to be considerate, respectful and capable from a young age. We range from 27 to 35. Sad for you that your parents didn’t take that kind of time with you.

@qvl+1aid9w7j Astute observation about the age thing. Coming to a layoff site to whine about people's grievances with the corporation actively laying them off is most definitely ignorant boomer behavior.

Balanced and mature is when you vent to your significant other (dog or cat if you don't have one) in the privacy of your own home and don't use a megaphone on a public website to air your grievances. Must be an age thing - I'll never agree.

If that makes me a troll, so be it.

OP - thank you for presenting a balanced mature post. We have just 1 or 2 employee trolls on this site who reply multiple times to be itches and to get attention.

I ignore them and do not even give them the pleasure of a downtick, which is what they want.

So whining equates to productivity in your opinion? Maybe you should be working the drive through. I dare say you’d have something more substantial to whine about then and I’d still not be interested in hearing it.

you two must be complacent work staff; anyone with drive would see this place as career ending; you are the ones destroying the company with no ideas, only order taking; I think McDonalds can use this help in the drive thru

What is negative about not wanting to listen to somebody whining? I could probably sit around complaining all day myself but I know that it solves nothing and nobody else is interested anyhow.

Happy complaining. I have the feeling your job is not the only thing you complain about. You remind me of my teammate. A simple hello always leads an hour of non stop complaining. He has been at Wells for over 25 years. Still complaining. YIKES!!!!

these people replying are negative, no way to make them understand, they are beyond help.

This job in reality is a career ending position
