Voted down by a large margin. Almost 3 to 1 against. All you union pumpers need to realize not nearly as many people would support a union at Allstate as you would like to think.

Unions are a joke. They lost a lot of their usefulness in most industries especially with non-manufacturing publicly traded companies like banks and insurance companies. No way an already underpaid work force at Allstate would agree to pay dues to a group with no real guarantee of benefit. Plus we would need the support of a few officers and directors to coordinate and unify behind a union and they are all strongly opposed. And in the likely event the union is shot down because most if us don't want it the evil beings running this company will bestow the wrath on each and every one of us for even putting the thought of a union in play. Most of us employees don't even want a union mentioned.
Unions at one time had some benefits, but in modern-day, serve little to no purpose. Anyone who thinks that a union would improve conditions is sorely mistaken.

I’d rather pay for Union representation to at least have someone pretend caring for the workers. Without a Union all you get is stepped on. You will get stepped on regardless, but at least with a Union you got someone to fight for you. And management is scared of unions. Hahahaha
Hmm. Ever wonder why teachers police firefighters state workers factory workers have unions ? There’s a need. Management will defecate on the worker without one. Just like they do at Allstate. They will take every advantage possible to keep wages and benefits down. They only do what they absolutely have to. Better to get representation....in a battle better go in with back up. Allstate has attorneys we don’t. We need a Union. Will never happen as the workers are brainwashed real good from years of lies and hopes. You win Allstate.
They have only counted half of the votes, so a definitive rejection isn’t imminent thought the trends are in Amazon’s favor.
I’m neither pro- or anti-union, but the OP’s post simply isn’t true. The last thing Allstate employees need is more disinformation or spin. We’re getting plenty of that from the heads of the company ever day.

There is a reason why less than 25% of America's workforce is represented by a union. Its a ripoff only making the fat cats rich while the average worker gets crumbs for their dues, maybe.
