They claimed we needed layoffs. Fine. If there's fat, I agree it needs to be cut. Only, they didn't cut the fat. They cut the people who were doing the work that can't be cut. The work that was conveniently distributed to the rest of us despite of us already being overworked. So many managers who do nothing are still here while we have to shoulder two or three jobs to make up for those who were much needed but were deemed disposable. Who's the genius who made these decisions?

I work my hours and when I am done I am done. They get nothing from me beyond that. They haven’t earned it.
I know I’m a strong employee and my ratings show it each year.
I can barely keep up to the workload now and I’m actually not able to anymore. The company can deal with it now.
Do what I’m doing. Keep looking and applying and find something at our peers. The jobs will come back soon, even in other industries.
Double the work with zero synergies. We are still on separate IT systems !!!!! Why not lay people off while your at it!
IMO failure
But at least we still have an advisor for Events and Experiences and an inclusion and diversity analyst. So at least the important positions are still here.
Wait for it... soon the messaging will be tthat you should just be thankful you have a job. That message is status quo.
