Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honest opinion of the new $300.00 Bluetooth face mask

Why would a consumer spend that much on a mask that isn’t medical grade protection.

I’d like to hear everyone’s comments.

Honeywell requires a monthly subscription if you want the mask to actually do anything. Besides, isn’t the pandemic almost over?

Another Honeywell attempt to get a product on home shopping network. This one is perfect for “as-seen-on-tv store / 90% discount!” rack.

So you are paying $250 extra for the designer look, the celebrity endorsement and the Honeywell brand?

With these types of cutting edge innovations, the stock should soar and the investment community should be exalted..

Should be good for another few hundred RIFs?

My younger son just started at a call center where masks aren't really allowed or possible during phone calls. Binafone is offering a Bluetooth microphone and earbud mask for $50 with replaceable N95 filters. Not really an N95 mask, but typical of various masks out there. Glad he is getting vaccinated this Saturday. Price for the noted version in this string might be fair for everything it offers.

The rot starts at the top. Faded famous name slapped on junk and doorcrasher specials, a ala RCA.

This is what you get when an idea is pitched at the highest level. Order are given to vet it by the underlings. They can’t say no, not a good idea. They can only pass it down to a sacrificial lamb level to take the fall if it fails.

If on the odd chance it is a go, they will claim credit along with the monetary rewards.

Anybody know the HON contribution to this product other than the leasing of the name?

Filters are probably outsourced.

Will this interface with my will,I.am watch?

Looks like HON is a little late to the game but you never know these days with the celebrity endorsements.

I can just see the commercial now with the Germ Falcon being pushed by a model wearing the new mask, Futureshaper tee shirt along with the Dairyalias a— stimulator down the bread isle of the supermarket.

Did we see a Kardashian in Charlotte recently?

@1qek, I wouldn't blame it on SPS specifically; they just happened to be positioned as a maker of "safety" products to take up the slack left by COVID-ravaged markets in other SBGs.

After being "SBG of the Year" in 2018, they came in last in 2019, so they have been under extreme pressure to bring in a buck. The pandemic has saved JW's shorts by enabling bulk sales of "little things" that are easy to manufacture and distribute. Plus, with everyone ordering online, Intelligrated warehouse systems and scanning is booming.

Thanks to the pandemic, SPS is having its day in the sun, which it definitely would not be having without it.

HON as usual is hoping for a government mandate to force phone makers to have their headphones work only with these masks. Unfortunately phone makers will comply even without a mandate as Apple and Samsung are based in liberal west coast where mask mandates are likely to be permanent

Goes well with a $500 bottle of wine,
Think how cool you will look stepping out of your new Porsche right after you sent 10,000 people packing.

I respect will I am, but this partnership with HON is foolish. He should stick to what he does best and refrain from promoting ridiculous useless products. Who in their right mind would wear that c––p?
